Inspire Sleep Apnea InnovationOffering an alternative to CPAP machines

Inspire® is the only FDA-approved implantable treatment for people with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) who cannot use Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy.

How Does it Work?

Inspire® is a small device implanted inside the body that works with a patient’s natural breathing process. Based on your unique breathing patterns, the system delivers gentle stimulation to throat muscles, allowing the airway to remain open during sleep.

Inspire® is implanted during a short, outpatient procedure. Most patients return home the same day and can resume non-strenuous activities within a few days or as directed by their doctor.

After 4 weeks, the device gets turned on by the physician, and the patients use a small handheld sleep remote which allows them to turn the device on before bed and off when they wake up, increase and decrease stimulation strength, and pause during the night if needed.

The first step is to call us and schedule an evaluation appointment with one of our physicians in our Wesley Chapel or Trinity office locations.
